The Gardens will offer a journey through the world without having to leave Miami. A true fantasy spectacle will arise with the Versailles style of classical parterres, a 100-foot long reflecting channel, lineation of 75-foot high clipped trees and amazing perspective. Then we travel to Italian design with a water garden, reflecting pool and mini-jets where water lilies will be abound. Smaller gardens will satellite the central garden, inviting long walks of discovery. Shaped topiaries, exotic evergreens and the sensuality of endless arrays of blossoms and texture in the English border will leave you speechless.
As a garden designer for notable clientele such as Versace and Hollywood directors and playwrights, Nelson has resided in Miami for more than 30 years. His artistic purpose through the design and concept of “Gardens of the World” is to change the perception of gardens and to bring beauty to emerging areas throughout the U.S. The Gardens, when open, will also host frequent poetry readings and educational tours about botany, art and culture.
